Plant Data is an inter-university research center devoted to plant diversity and big data, founded in 2021. Plant Data aims at studying novel approaches and develop new tools for producing, managing and analysing plant biodiversity data.

Plant Data was originally founded by a core group of six Italian universities: Bologna, Camerino, Perugia, Pisa, Roma (La Sapienza), Trieste.
